1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are commonly used to keep a site secure, remember that you are logged in, and understand how pages are used.

2. How faceperfect.co uses cookies

We use cookies and similar browser technologies for purposes such as:

• Authentication and security — keeping you signed in and protecting your account;
• Payments — when you use checkout, our payment provider may set cookies required for fraud prevention and to complete a payment;
• Service improvement — we may add optional analytics cookies in the future to understand aggregate traffic (we will update this policy and, where required, ask for consent before enabling them).

AI heritage reports are generated on our servers; they do not rely on advertising cookies for personalization.

3. Types of cookies we use

3.1 Essential cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary for the website to function. They include our first-party session cookie (faceperfect_session), which is httpOnly (not readable by JavaScript on the page), sent over HTTPS in production, and used to keep you logged in after you sign in or complete account steps. Without this cookie, account features and the dashboard will not work reliably.

3.2 Analytics cookies

We do not currently set first-party analytics cookies on faceperfect.co. If we add tools such as product analytics, we will list them here and use a consent mechanism where the law requires it.

3.3 Functionality cookies

We do not use extra first-party “remember your UI theme”-style cookies beyond what is essential for login and checkout. Some onboarding preferences may be stored in browser local storage on your device (not a cookie); see our Privacy Policy for how we treat that data.

3.4 Performance cookies

We do not operate a separate set of performance-only first-party cookies. Any future analytics tool we add would be described under Section 3.2 and, where applicable, Section 4.

4. Third-party cookies

Third-party services may set their own cookies when their scripts or frames load on our pages. Today this mainly applies to:

• Stripe— when you pay, Stripe may set cookies or use similar storage to process cards, meet regulatory requirements, and reduce fraud. Stripe’s own policies apply to those technologies.

We do not embed social sharing widgets, live chat widgets, or third-party advertising pixels on the product experience at the time of this policy. If that changes, we will update this page.

Third parties control their own cookies; this policy does not govern their services.

5. Cookie consent and management

5.1 Cookie consent

A category-based cookie banner (accept / reject non-essential cookies) is not live on faceperfect.co yet. Until it ships, only cookies that are strictly necessary for security, login, or payment continue to apply as described here. When we enable optional cookies, we will provide a consent flow consistent with applicable law and update this policy.

5.2 Managing preferences

When a cookie preference center is available, we will link it from the site footer next to our other legal pages. Until then, you can contact us (Section 10) or use your browser controls.

5.3 Browser settings

Most browsers let you:

• see which cookies are stored;
• delete cookies individually or in bulk;
• block third-party or all cookies (which may break login or checkout).

6. Cookie retention

6.1 Session lifetime

Our session authentication cookie is configured with a 30-day lifetime (or until you log out / we invalidate the session), after which it expires or is removed.

6.2 Third-party retention

Payment-related cookies follow retention rules set by Stripe. Refer to Stripe’s documentation for current expiry values.

7. If you disable cookies

If you block or clear cookies, you may experience issues such as:

• being signed out and needing to log in again;
• checkout or saved payment methods not working until cookies are allowed again.

8. Native mobile apps

faceperfect.co is provided as a website. We do not distribute a separate native mobile application today. If we launch apps, we will describe any equivalent identifiers (SDKs, advertising IDs, etc.) in an updated version of this policy.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect new technologies, partners, or legal requirements. We will post the revised policy on this page and change the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated by email where the law requires.
